LEAGUE OVERVIEW
The Panhandle Pickleball Club League offers competitive, organized play throughout the year with four seasonal leagues designed to challenge players, build community, and keep competition fresh and exciting.
All leagues are managed through PickleballScores.com and utilize dynamic ratings to help create balanced competition and provide players with an accurate measure of their performance throughout the season.
Players have the opportunity to compete in four leagues each calendar year:
The Fall League features gender-based team competition and follows our traditional league format. Women compete on Tuesdays and Men compete on Thursdays.
The Winter League continues the same proven format used in the Fall League, providing consistent, competitive play while allowing players to build chemistry with different partners. Mixed doubles competition is held on Wednesdays.
The Spring League may feature a refreshed format designed to keep competition exciting and introduce new challenges for players.
The Summer League brings a different style of play with a format designed to keep the season fun, social, and competitive while giving players new opportunities to test their skills.
All league matches are scheduled within the 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM timeframe.
To create competitive and enjoyable matchups, leagues are organized by both skill level and age divisions.
Players compete within the following skill brackets:
Dynamic ratings help maintain competitive balance and provide a fair pathway for players as their skills develop.
Players may participate in age-based divisions including:
For our Fall and Winter Leagues, the standard match format is:
This format provides every player with meaningful court time, encourages teamwork, and creates competitive balance throughout the season. Weekly matches provide approximately 2.25–2.5 hours of total play time, including dedicated warm-up time before competition begins.
Player registration fees include the cost of league operations and court fees, so there are no additional court charges during the season.
The league is designed to provide a complete competitive experience—organized scheduling, quality court time, balanced competition, and a pathway to championship play.
The Fall and Winter Leagues serve as qualifying opportunities toward our annual multi-club/league championship event held in the spring. Top-performing teams and players will have the opportunity to represent their league in a season-ending championship celebration.
